Title: President Tim
Author: Newton T
Abstract:
This is my first editorial since I had the honour of becoming the President of the British Society of Special Care Dentistry. I am delighted, but also rather concerned, to follow in the footsteps of many notable leaders in the field, including Immediate Past President Helen Patterson.
During my time in the role I would particularly like to highlight the importance of the multi-disciplinary team in special care. In part, of course, this is a reflection of my own background. As a psychologist working in the field of dentistry, I have had the good fortune to be able to share my perspectives on patient care and to learn from the dental, nursing, management, administrative and medical staff around me.
