The Journal of the British Society of Special Care Dentistry is the official publication of the British Society of Special Care Dentistry. It is published three times a year in April, July and December.
The Journal welcomes the submission of reports of original research, case reports and review articles.

The submission deadlines each year are:
- 9 January for publication in the second issue of the year published in July
- 31 August for publication in the third issue of the year published in December
- 13 October for publication in the first issue of the year published in April
The Journal of the British Society of Special Care Dentistry was previously known as the Journal of Disability and Oral Health.
N.B. From 2025 the numbering format of the Journal for the British Society of Special Care Dentistry changed. The new format uses the year of publication followed by the issue number. The first issue of the Journal of the British Society of Special Care Dentistry is volume 2025, number 1 published in April 2025.
